- Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) plans to revise the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act to give crypto assets legal financial product status.
- The move will also place crypto under insider trading laws to prevent misuse of confidential information.
- The related bill is expected to be introduced in Parliament by 2026 for formal implementation.

HAL will provide 156 LCHS to the defense sector at a cost of Rs 62,700 crore
- Hindustan Aeronautics Limited will supply 156 light combat helicopters under a ₹62,700 crore contract of which 66 are for the Indian Air Force and 90 for the Army.
- Indigenous LCH Prachand operates above 5,000 metres with 65% local components, involving over 250 MSMEs.
- The Defence Ministry also signed a deal to lease KC135 aircraft for refuelling training, taking the FY25 contract value to ₹2.09 lakh crore.

- हिंदुस्तान एयरोनॉटिक्स लिमिटेड ₹62,700 करोड़ के अनुबंध के तहत 156 हल्के लड़ाकू हेलीकॉप्टरों की आपूर्ति करेगा जिनमें से 66 भारतीय वायु सेना और 90 सेना के लिए हैं।
- स्वदेशी LCH प्रचंड 65% स्थानीय घटकों के साथ 5,000 मीटर से ऊपर संचालित होता है, जिसमें 250 से अधिक MSMEs शामिल हैं।

13-day tri-service exercise ‘Tiger Triumph’ between India-US begins
- India and the US began the 13-day tri-service ‘Tiger Triumph’ exercise focusing on humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations and coordination.

- A joint command centre will operate from Kakinada; the programme will end on April 13.
