Bihar’s economy will grow to ₹8.54 lakh crore in 2023-24
- Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary presented the Economic Survey 2024-25.
- Bihar’s economy grows 3.5 times from ₹2.47 lakh crore (2011–12) to ₹8.54 lakh crore (2023–24).
- Bihar has recorded the third highest growth in transport and communication sector during 2011-24 after Uttar Pradesh (10.01%) and Karnataka (7.7%).

- उपमुख्यमंत्री सम्राट चौधरी ने आर्थिक सर्वेक्षण 2024-25 पेश किया।
- बिहार की अर्थव्यवस्था 3.5 गुना बढ़कर ₹2.47 लाख करोड़ (2011-12) से ₹8.54 लाख करोड़ (2023-24) हो गई।
- बिहार ने 2011-24 के दौरान उत्तर प्रदेश (10.01%) और कर्नाटक (7.7%) के बाद परिवहन और संचार क्षेत्र में तीसरी सबसे अधिक वृद्धि दर्ज की है।
Jharkhand Economic Survey 2024-25
- Jharkhand Economic Survey 2024-25 was presented in the Assembly by Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore.
- The state has projected an economic growth of 7.7 per cent at constant prices during the period 2023-24, while it has projected a growth of 10.7 per cent at current prices.
- The state’s GDP is estimated to grow at a rate of 7.5 percent in the next financial year 2025-26.

- झारखंड आर्थिक सर्वेक्षण 2024-25 को वित्त मंत्री राधाकृष्ण किशोर ने विधानसभा में पेश किया।
- राज्य ने 2023-24 की अवधि के दौरान स्थिर मूल्यों पर 7.7 प्रतिशत की आर्थिक वृद्धि दर्ज की है, जबकि वर्तमान मूल्यों पर 10.7 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि दर्ज की है।

Shaurya Bhattacharya won the Chhattisgarh Open title
- Young Delhi golfer Shaurya Bhattacharya shot a brilliant six-under 63 in the final round to win the Rs 1 crore Chhattisgarh Open.
- Bhattacharya (64-61-61-63), a PGTI winner in his rookie season last year, shot a total of 27-under 249 at Fairway Golf & Lakes Resort.
- This is his second professional win on the PGTI circuit.

India lags behind in 9 of the 16 Sustainable Development Goals: States Status Report 2025
- 36 Indian states and union territories have achieved at least half of the targets in only 4 of the 15 SDGs.
- These are SDG 3 (Good health and well-being), SDG 6 (Clean water and sanitation), SDG 7 (Affordable and clean energy) and SDG 8 (Decent work and economic growth).
- 16 states and union territories, including Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, have achieved less than half the targets in 30-43% of the SDG indicators.

India to launch mineral exploration licence auction in March 2025
- The Ministry of Mines will launch the first tranche of exploration licence auction in March 2025.
- 335 mineral blocks have been auctioned till date since 2024, of which 106 have been successfully allotted, including the first-ever auctions in Telangana, Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh.
- A State Mining Index will be introduced in 2025, which will evaluate states on regulatory and sustainability parameters.
