- He was honored by Pope Francis on his 110th birthday.
- She is the second oldest nun ever recorded, after Lucile Randon, the world’s oldest nun.

Newborn galaxy found at end of NGC 3785’s record tidal tail
- An ultra-diffuse galaxy is forming 430 million light-years away, at the tip of NGC 3785’s 1.27 million light-year long tidal tail.
- The NGC 3785 galaxy is known to have the longest tidal tail ever discovered.
- This research has been published in the November issue of the European journal Astronomy and Astrophysics Letters.
- It is written by Chandan Watts of IIA and Pondicherry University.

- Cipla launches India’s first Asthma Testing Mobile App called CipAir.
- The app guides users to assess the possibility of asthma using exhalation tests, providing results in red, yellow or green zones for further action.
- SipAir aims to improve early diagnosis, address underdiagnosis of asthma and improve disease management.

Banded Royal butterfly discovered in Tripura
- The Banded Royal Butterfly (Rachna jalindra indra) was first discovered within the Sipahijala Wildlife Sanctuary in Tripura.
- This butterfly was first seen during a survey in May 2021 and has been documented in the journal Munis Entomology & Zoology.
- It is protected under Schedule II of the Indian Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
- It is found in parts of South and Southeast Asia.
