Kho-Kho World Cup to start in India in 2025
- The Indian Kho-Kho Federation and the International Kho-Kho Federation have announced that the first Kho-Kho World Cup will be held in India in 2025.
- 24 countries from 6 continents will participate in this event, in which 16 men’s and same number of women’s teams will take part.
- Before the World Cup, KKFI plans to take the sport to 200 schools across 10 cities to promote the sport.
खो-खो विश्व कप 2025 में भारत में शुरू होगा
- भारतीय खो-खो महासंघ और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय खो-खो महासंघ ने घोषणा की है कि पहला खो-खो विश्व कप 2025 में भारत में आयोजित किया जाएगा।
- इस आयोजन में 6 महाद्वीपों के 24 देश भाग लेंगे, जिसमें 16 पुरुष और इतनी ही महिला टीमें भाग लेंगी।
- विश्व कप से पहले, KKFI ने खेल को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 10 शहरों के 200 स्कूलों में खेल को ले जाने की योजना बनाई है।

- António Guterres became the ninth Secretary-General of the United Nations on January 1, 2017.
- He served as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees from June 2005 to December 2015.
- He was the Prime Minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002.

NITI Aayog launches first Women Entrepreneurship Platform chapter
- NITI Aayog in collaboration with WE Hub and Telangana launched the first state chapter of Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP).
- WEP aims to support women entrepreneurs with resources, guidance, digital skills and financial services.
- Sita Pallochola, CEO of WE Hub is the mission director; the platform plans to promote grassroots entrepreneurship across all mandals of Telangana.

Divanshi wins gold for India in women’s 25m pistol: ISSF Junior
- Divanshi won the gold medal in the women’s 25m pistol event by defeating Cristina Magnani of Italy.
- She also won the gold medal in the team event along with Tejaswini and Vibhuti Bhatia.
- Mukesh Nelavalli won 2 gold medals in the junior men’s 25m pistol and team events, while Suraj Sharma won the silver medal.
- India also won the gold medal in the junior men’s 50m rifle team event, featuring Shaurya Saini, Vedant Nitin Waghmare and Parikshit Singh Brar.

- Parth Mane won a double gold in the 10m air rifle event, winning the individual title and also the men’s team event along with Ajay Malik and Abhinav Shaw.
- India’s third gold of the day came from the junior women’s 10m air rifle team comprising Gautami Bhanot, Sambhavi Kshirsagar and Anushka Thakur.
- Parth scored 250.7 points in the final to beat Huang Liwanlin of China by 0.7 points.

Reliance Group to invest in Bhutan’s renewable energy sector
- Reliance Enterprises, a new company set up by Reliance Infrastructure Limited and Reliance Power Limited, will focus on investing in Bhutan’s renewable energy sector, particularly solar and hydropower.
- The group plans to develop a 500 MW solar plant in two phases and the 770 MW Chamkharchhu-1 hydropower project under the run-of-the-river model in collaboration with Duk Holding.
रिलायंस समूह भूटान के नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा क्षेत्र में निवेश करेगा
- रिलायंस इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर लिमिटेड और रिलायंस पावर लिमिटेड द्वारा स्थापित नई कंपनी रिलायंस एंटरप्राइजेज, भूटान के अक्षय ऊर्जा क्षेत्र, विशेष रूप से सौर और जल विद्युत क्षेत्र में निवेश पर ध्यान केंद्रित करेगी।
- समूह की योजना दो चरणों में 500 मेगावाट का सौर संयंत्र विकसित करने और डुक होल्डिंग के साथ मिलकर रन-ऑफ-द-रिवर मॉडल के तहत 770 मेगावाट की चाम्खरछू-1 जलविद्युत परियोजना विकसित करने की है।
PK Gupta appointed as Chairman of Utkarsh Small Finance Bank
- The RBI has approved the re-appointment of Parveen Kumar (PK) Gupta as the non-executive Chairman of Utkarsh Small Finance Bank.
- Gupta, who previously served as Managing Director at State Bank of India for 38 years, has extensive experience in both domestic and international banking.
- He has also been a Senior Advisor to Bank of Baroda, thereby enhancing his leadership role in the banking sector.

- गुप्ता, जिन्होंने पहले 38 वर्षों तक भारतीय स्टेट बैंक में प्रबंध निदेशक के रूप में कार्य किया था, को घरेलू और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बैंकिंग दोनों में व्यापक अनुभव है।
- वह बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा के वरिष्ठ सलाहकार भी रहे हैं, जिससे बैंकिंग क्षेत्र में उनकी नेतृत्वकारी भूमिका बढ़ी है।
PM Modi inaugurates four bio-gas units in Assam
- On October 2, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the construction of four compressed bio-gas plants in Assam under the Swachhata Hi Sewa 2024 programme.
- The locations of these major projects include Guwahati, Jorhat, Sivasagar and Tinsukia.
- Oil India Limited plans to set up a total of 25 CBG plants by 2024-25 in collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने असम में चार बायो-गैस इकाइयों का उद्घाटन किया
- 2 अक्टूबर, 2024 को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने स्वच्छता ही सेवा 2024 कार्यक्रम के तहत असम में चार संपीड़ित बायो-गैस संयंत्रों के निर्माण का उद्घाटन किया।
- इन प्रमुख परियोजनाओं के स्थानों में गुवाहाटी, जोरहाट, शिवसागर और तिनसुकिया शामिल हैं।
- ऑयल इंडिया लिमिटेड ने पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्रालय के सहयोग से 2024-25 तक कुल 25 CBG संयंत्र स्थापित करने की योजना बनाई है।
