‘Operation Brahma’: Humanitarian aid to Myanmar Help
- India has launched Operation Brahma to provide relief to Myanmar after the 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar and Thailand.
- Myanmar, also known as Burma, is located in Southeast Asia.
- Its capital is Naypyidaw and the official currency is Myanmar Kyat (MMK).
- It shares borders with Bangladesh, India, China, Laos and Thailand.
- The official language of Myanmar is Burmese.

Manisha Bhanwala won the first gold medal for India
- Manisha Bhanwala won India’s first gold medal since the 2021 edition at the Asian Wrestling Championships-2025, while Ankit Panghal had to settle for a bronze in Amman, Jordan.
- In the women’s 62kg category, Manisha won the gold medal by defeating Ok Jae Kim of Korea 8-7.
- Meanwhile, in the bronze play-off of the 53kg category, Final Panghal defeated Meng H Hsieh of Taipei.

National Women’s Hockey League 2024-25: Haryana winners
- Hockey Haryana won the title of the National Women’s Hockey League 2024-25 final stage by defeating Hockey Association of Odisha 3-2 at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Astro Turf in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
- With four wins, two losses and a shootout win, Hockey Haryana registered 15 points from seven matches and topped the table in the pool stage.
राष्ट्रीय महिला हॉकी लीग 2024-25: हरियाणा विजेता
- हॉकी हरियाणा ने झारखंड के रांची में मारंग गोमके जयपाल सिंह मुंडा एस्ट्रो टर्फ पर हॉकी एसोसिएशन ऑफ ओडिशा को 3-2 से हराकर राष्ट्रीय महिला हॉकी लीग 2024-25 के अंतिम चरण का खिताब जीता।
- चार जीत, दो हार और एक शूटआउट जीत के साथ, हॉकी हरियाणा ने सात मैचों में 15 अंक दर्ज किए और पूल चरण में तालिका में शीर्ष पर रहा।

₹1,604 crore for modernisation of fire services in five states
- A high-level committee headed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah has approved projects worth over Rs 1,604 crore for five states under the scheme for expansion and modernisation of fire services.
- These states are Bihar, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Kerala.
- The committee also approved an amount of over Rs 555 crore for Sikkim.

- In table tennis, India’s Manav Thakkar created history by becoming the first Indian to qualify for the last eight of the WTT Star Contender event.
- He defeated Germany’s Andre Bertelsmeier 3–2 in the men’s singles prequarterfinals of the WTT Star Contender in Chennai.
- Kritika Roy was defeated 0-3 by three-time world championship medallist Miyu Nagasaki of Japan.

- The 37-year-old Serbian achieved the feat after defeating American Sebastian Korda in the quarter-finals of the Miami Open.
- He surpassed Roger Federer, who reached the final four of the Indian Wells and Miami Open in 2019 at the age of 37 years and seven months.
