IRDAI adds 5 new members to insurance advisory panel
- IRDAI added 5 new members to the Insurance Advisory Committee (IAC), comprising leaders from banking, asset management and insurance sectors.
- The committee will submit its report within three months, which will include recommendations on increasing FDI to 100% and having a holistic licensing structure.
- The new members include M. R. Kumar, Dinesh Kumar Khara, Vishakha Mule, Nilesh Shah and Alice G. Vaidyan.

- IRDAI ने बीमा सलाहकार समिति (IAC) में 5 नए सदस्यों को शामिल किया, जिनमें बैंकिंग, परिसंपत्ति प्रबंधन और बीमा क्षेत्रों के नेता शामिल हैं।
- समिति तीन महीने के भीतर अपनी रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करेगी, जिसमें FDI को 100% तक बढ़ाने और एक समग्र लाइसेंस संरचना करने की सिफारिशें शामिल होंगी।
- नए सदस्यों में एम. आर. कुमार, दिनेश कुमार खारा, विशाखा मुले, नीलेश शाह और एलिस जी. वैद्यन शामिल हैं।
“Hack the Future” Hackathon concluded successfully at IIT Gandhinagar
- NSO India and IIT Gandhinagar hosted a 36-hour “Hack the Future” hackathon, in which 18 teams from top institutions like IITs, NITs and IIITs took on innovative challenges.
- Plaksha University won top honours in two categories, while Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology won the third category.
- IIT Jammu, VIT Vellore and NIT Goa were ranked second.

- NSO इंडिया और IIT गांधीनगर ने 36 घंटे के “हैक द फ्यूचर” हैकथॉन की मेजबानी की, जिसमें IIT, NIT और IIIT जैसे शीर्ष संस्थानों की 18 टीमों ने अभिनव चुनौतियों का सामना किया।
- प्लाक्षा विश्वविद्यालय ने दो श्रेणियों में शीर्ष सम्मान हासिल किया, जबकि राजीव गांधी पेट्रोलियम प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान ने तीसरी श्रेणी में जीत हासिल की।

SC collegium recommends transfer of Orissa HC CJ to Allahabad HC
- Transfer of Judges: The President of India can transfer a judge of a High Court to another High Court after consultation with the Chief Justice of India (CJI).
- Third Judge case (1998): To CJI
- The collegium of senior-most Supreme Court Judges and the Chief Justices of both the High Courts should be consulted.
- Sole Opinion: Individual opinion of the CJI is not sufficient for the consultation process.

Export of GI-tagged chilli pepper from Sikkim to Solomon Islands
- The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India has successfully exported the first consignment of GI-tagged chilli pepper from Sikkim to Solomon Islands.
- Export of 15,000 kg of chilli, increasing income of farmers in Sikkim.
- Daile Mirch is also known as Fire Ball Chilli or Daile Khursani.

- वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार के अधीन कृषि एवं प्रसंस्कृत खाद्य उत्पाद निर्यात विकास प्राधिकरण (APEDA) ने सिक्किम से सोलोमन द्वीप तक GI-टैग वाली डैले मिर्च की पहली खेप का सफलतापूर्वक निर्यात किया है।
- 15,000 किलोग्राम डैले मिर्च का निर्यात, सिक्किम में किसानों की आय में वृद्धि।
- डैले मिर्च को फायर बॉल मिर्च या डैले खुरसानी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।

- India will host the 3-day FATF Private Sector Cooperation Forum 2025 (PSCF 2025) in Mumbai from March 25 to 27, 2025.
- FATF President Ms. Elisa D. Anda Madrazo will formally inaugurate the PSCF 2025 on March 26, 2025.
- The PSCF 2025 Agenda reflects global priorities, including payments transparency, financial inclusion and the digital transformation of financial systems.

Khelo India Para Games: Jhandu Kumar and Seema Rani set national records
- Powerlifters Jhandu Kumar and Seema Rani broke national records at the Khelo India Para Games in the national capital.
- Seema Rani of Punjab and Jhandu Kumar of Bihar created history with their remarkable performances.
- Seema Rani won the gold medal by lifting 97 kg in the Elite 61 kg category.
- Jhandu Kumar won the gold medal by lifting 206 kg in the Elite 72 kg category.
खेलो इंडिया पैरा गेम्सः झंडू कुमार और सीमा रानी ने राष्ट्रीय रिकॉर्ड बनाए
- पावरलिफ्टर झंडू कुमार और सीमा रानी ने राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में खेलो इंडिया पैरा गेम्स में राष्ट्रीय रिकॉर्ड तोड़ दिए।
- पंजाब की सीमा रानी और बिहार के झंडू कुमार ने अपने उल्लेखनीय प्रदर्शन से इतिहास रच दिया।
- सीमा रानी ने एलीट 61 किलोग्राम वर्ग में 97 किलोग्राम वजन उठाकर स्वर्ण पदक जीता।

2023-24: Record ₹1.27 lakh crore production in indigenous defence
- India has achieved the highest ever increase in indigenous defence production in 2023-24 since the launch of the Make in India initiative, reaching a record Rs 1 lakh 27 thousand crore.
- Defence exports are also projected to increase from Rs 686 crore in 2013-14 to an all-time high of over Rs 21 thousand crore in 2023-24, showing a 30-fold increase in the last decade.
2023-24: स्वदेशी रक्षा में रिकॉर्ड ₹1.27 लाख करोड़ का उत्पादन
- भारत ने मेक इन इंडिया पहल के शुभारंभ के बाद से 2023-24 में स्वदेशी रक्षा उत्पादन में अब तक की सबसे अधिक वृद्धि हासिल की है, जो रिकॉर्ड एक लाख 27 हजार करोड़ रुपये तक पहुंच गई है।
- रक्षा निर्यात भी 2013-14 में 686 करोड़ से बढ़कर 2023-24 में 21 हजार करोड़ रुपये से अधिक के सर्वकालिक उच्च स्तर पर पहुंच गया है, जो पिछले एक दशक में 30 गुना वृद्धि दर्शाता है।

- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who also holds the charge of Finance Ministry, presented the budget for the financial year 2025-26 in the Delhi Assembly.
