India to host 11th Asian Swimming Championship in Gujarat
- India will host the 11th Asian Swimming Championships at the Naranpura Sports Complex in Ahmedabad.
- This event will be held from 1st to 15th October.
- This championship will include swimming, diving, artistic swimming and water polo.
- Swimmers from Japan and South Korea are expected to take part in the continental meet, which will be the first edition of the event in the country.

- भारत अहमदाबाद के नारनपुरा स्पोर्ट्स कॉम्प्लेक्स में 11वीं एशियाई तैराकी चैंपियनशिप की मेज़बानी करेगा।
- यह आयोजन 1 से 15 अक्टूबर तक होगा।
- इस चैंपियनशिप में तैराकी, गोताखोरी, कलात्मक तैराकी और वाटर पोलो शामिल होंगे।
- जापान और दक्षिण कोरिया के तैराकों के इस महाद्वीपीय मीट में भाग लेने की उम्मीद है, जो देश में इस आयोजन का पहला संस्करण होगा।

- It has 120 active volcanoes and lies along the “Ring of Fire,” a horseshoe-shaped series of seismic fault lines that encircle the Pacific Basin.

- Coventry will replace ninth IOC president Thomas Bach, whose 12-year term officially ends after June 23.

- According to the Forest Declaration Assessment (FDA) report, the world will lose 6.37 million hectares of forest in 2023 alone, threatening global climate and biodiversity goals.
- The FDA was launched in 2015 as a New York Forest Declaration (NYDF) progress assessment.
- The NYDF is a voluntary, non-binding declaration, adopted at the UN Climate Summit in 2014.
