- Uttar Pradesh will open the country’s first night safari in Lucknow in December 2026, making it the fifth such safari in the world.
- Kukrail Night Safari Park and Wildlife Centre will be spread over an area of over 900 acres, offering both night and day safaris under a phased development.
- Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has set a target to complete it by June 2026, with a focus on sustainability, greenery and solar energy.

- उत्तर प्रदेश दिसंबर 2026 में लखनऊ में देश की पहली नाइट सफारी खोलेगा, जिससे यह विश्व की पांचवीं ऐसी सफारी बन जाएगी।
- कुकरैल नाइट सफारी पार्क और वन्यजीव केंद्र 900 एकड़ से अधिक क्षेत्र में फैला होगा, जिसमें चरणबद्ध विकास के तहत रात और दिन दोनों तरह की सफारी की सुविधा होगी।
- मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने जून 2026 तक इसे पूरा करने का लक्ष्य रखा है, जिसमें स्थिरता, हरियाली और सौर ऊर्जा पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया जाएगा।

- Coal India Limited was awarded the prestigious Green World Environment Award in the CSR category at the Green World Awards 2024.
- CIL was recognized for Thalassemia Bal Seva Scheme, providing curative treatment through stem cell transplantation to more than 600 thalassemia patients.
- The award was presented to Shri Vinay Ranjan, Director Personnel//IR, CIL at Kensington Palace, London.

- CIL को थैलेसीमिया बाल सेवा योजना के लिए मान्यता दी गई, जो 600 से अधिक थैलेसीमिया रोगियों को स्टेम सेल प्रत्यारोपण के माध्यम से उपचारात्मक उपचार प्रदान करती है।
- यह पुरस्कार लंदन के केंसिंग्टन पैलेस में CIL के कार्मिक//IR निदेशक श्री विनय रंजन को प्रदान किया गया।
Sahitya Aaj Tak 2024: Gulzar will get Lifetime Achievement Award
- The 6th edition of Sahitya Aaj Tak will be held on 22-24 November at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi.
- Legendary poet, lyricist and filmmaker Gulzar will be honoured with the Aaj Tak Sahitya Jagriti Lifetime Achievement Award.
- President Draupadi Murmu will present the award on November 23, along with a cash prize of Rs 11 lakh and a commemorative plaque.

- राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू 23 नवंबर को यह पुरस्कार प्रदान करेंगी, साथ ही 11 लाख रुपये की नकद राशि और एक स्मारक पट्टिका भी प्रदान की जाएगी।

- Russia vetoed a United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Sudan.
- Resolution: Proposed by the United Kingdom and Sierra Leone, the resolution aimed to end hostilities between the warring parties in Sudan and encourage negotiations for a ceasefire.
- Russia: The only country to veto, Russia accused Britain of interfering in Sudanese affairs.

- Wadani Party leader Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi wins Somaliland’s 2024 presidential election.
- President Moussa Bihi Abdi of the Kulmiye Party, who was seeking a second term, came second with more than 30% of the vote.
- Somaliland declared independence from Somalia in 1991 and operates with its own government, currency and security despite lack of international recognition.

Famous Japanese poet Shuntaro Tanikawa dies at the age of 92
- Shuntaro Tanikawa, a pioneer in modern Japanese poetry, has died at the age of 92.
- Tanikawa’s first work of 1952, Two Billion Light Years of Solitude, was a groundbreaking masterpiece, blending cosmic themes with the language of the everyday.
- He also wrote the lyrics for Astro Boy’s theme song and translated works such as the Peanuts comic strip into Japanese.

- आधुनिक जापानी कविता में अग्रणी शंटारो तानिकावा का 92 वर्ष की आयु में निधन हो गया।
- तानिकावा की 1952 की पहली कृति, टू बिलियन लाइट इयर्स ऑफ सॉलिट्यूड, एक अभूतपूर्व कृति थी, जिसमें ब्रह्मांडीय विषयों को दैनिक की भाषा के साथ मिश्रित किया गया था।
- उन्होंने एस्ट्रो बॉय के थीम गीत के बोल भी लिखे और पीनट्स कॉमिक स्ट्रिप जैसी कृतियों का जापानी में अनुवाद किया।
Joint Military Exercise ‘Purvi Prahar’ held in Arunachal Pradesh
- A four-day joint military exercise, Eastern Prahar, took place from November 14-17, 2024 in the Shi-Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh.
- It included the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.
- Eastern Army Commander Lieutenant General R C Tiwari and Air Marshal IS Walia participated in the exercise.
- The aim of this exercise was to improve combat effectiveness, inter-service coordination and operational readiness.
संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास ‘पूर्वी प्रहार’ अरुणाचल प्रदेश में आयोजित किया गया
- अरुणाचल प्रदेश के शि-योमी जिले में 14-17 नवंबर, 2024 तक चार दिवसीय संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास, पूर्वी प्रहार हुआ।
- इसमें भारतीय सेना, नौसेना और वायु सेना शामिल थी।
- इस अभ्यास में पूर्वी सेना के कमांडर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल आर. सी. तिवारी और एयर मार्शल IS वालिया ने भाग लिया।
- इस अभ्यास का उद्देश्य युद्ध प्रभावशीलता, अंतर-सेवा समन्वय और परिचालन तत्परता में सुधार करना था।

- The exercise was conducted on 18-19 November 2024 at Ahmedabad and Porbandar, Gujarat.

Jyothi Surekha Vennam won gold medal in archery at GT Open
- Jyothi Surekha Vennam defeated Belgium’s Sarah Prels 147-145 to win the gold medal in the women’s compound event at the GT Open in Luxembourg.
- Abhishek won the silver medal in the men’s compound event, scoring 150 but lost to Mike Schlosser of Netherlands.
- This was Jyothi’s first GT Open appearance, in which she performed brilliantly throughout.
