India, Maldives to settle bilateral trade in local currencies
- Settlement of bilateral trade transactions between India and Maldives will be allowed in local currencies of Indian Rupee and Maldivian Rufiyaa in addition to the existing Asian Clearing Union mechanism.
- This initiative is expected to provide great help to Maldives as India is the largest trading partner of Maldives and bilateral trade between the two countries is over US$ 548 million.

- भारत और मालदीव के बीच द्विपक्षीय व्यापार लेनदेन का निपटान मौजूदा एशियाई क्लियरिंग यूनियन तंत्र के अलावा भारतीय रुपए और मालदीवियन रूफिया की स्थानीय मुद्राओं में करने की अनुमति दी जाएगी।
- इस पहल से मालदीव को बड़ी सहायता मिलने की आशा है क्योंकि भारत मालदीव का सबसे बड़ा व्यापार साझेदार है और दोनों देशों के बीच द्विपक्षीय व्यापार 548 मिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर से अधिक है।
Telangana Deputy CM presents ₹3.04 lakh crore budget for 2025-26
- In Telangana, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka presented a budget of Rs 3 lakh 4 thousand 965 crore for the upcoming financial year 2025-26.
- A large portion of the budget is proposed for agriculture, irrigation and power sectors.

- बजट का बड़ा हिस्सा कृषि, सिंचाई और बिजली क्षेत्रों के लिए प्रस्तावित है।
Number of one-horned rhinoceroses in West Bengal rises to 392
- The number of one-horned rhinoceroses in West Bengal has increased from 229 to 392.
- The rhino census was carried out on March 5 and 6 in Jaldapara National Park, Gorumara National Park, Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary and parts of Jalpaiguri Reserve Forest, covering an area of 396 square kilometre.

- पश्चिम बंगाल में एक सींग वाले गैंडों की संख्या 229 से बढ़कर 392 हो गई है।
- गैंडों की गणना 5 और 6 मार्च को जलदापाड़ा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान, गोरुमारा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान, चपरामारी वन्यजीव अभयारण्य और जलपाईगुड़ी रिजर्व वन के कुछ हिस्सों में की गई, जिसमें 396 वर्ग किलोमीटर का क्षेत्र शामिल था।
Telangana Assembly passes SC reservation bill
- The Telangana State Assembly has passed the Scheduled Castes (Rationalisation of Reservation) Bill, 2025, paving the way for sub-classification in reservation for 59 communities among the Scheduled Castes.
- The Scheduled Castes will be divided into three groups: Group I will get 1% within the 15 per cent quota for Scheduled Castes, Group II will get 9% and Group III will get 5%.
तेलंगाना विधानसभा ने अनुसूचित जाति आरक्षण विधेयक पारित किया
- तेलंगाना राज्य विधानसभा ने अनुसूचित जाति (आरक्षण का युक्तिकरण) विधेयक, 2025 पारित कर दिया है, जिससे अनुसूचित जातियों के बीच 59 समुदायों के लिए आरक्षण में उप-वर्गीकरण का मार्ग प्रशस्त हो गया है।
- अनुसूचित जातियों को तीन समूहों में विभाजित किया जाएगाः समूह। को अनुसूचित जातियों के लिए 15 प्रतिशत कोटे के भीतर 1%, समूह ।। को 9% और समूह III को 5% मिलेगा।

India ranks 24th out of 33 countries in free speech index
- In a new global survey conducted by independent American think tank The Future of Free Speech, India has been ranked 24th out of 33 countries surveyed on the question of support for free speech.
- Its report was titled ‘Who in the World Supports Free Speech?’
- Norway, Denmark and Sweden occupy the top three positions in this list.

- However, a pilot study “Agricultural Distress and PM Fasal Bima Yojana: Analysis of Rainfed Agriculture” was conducted to help the farmers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh during 2020-21 and 2021-22.

- This year, lakhs of people will participate in the approximately three kilometer long fair.
- Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will also participate in this.
