- Rashmika Mandanna has been named as the National Brand Ambassador for the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (14C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
- She was the victim of a deepfake video last year, sparking her commitment to raising awareness about cybersecurity, including deepfakes, cyberbullying, and financial fraud.

- रश्मिका मंदाना को गृह मंत्रालय के तहत भारतीय साइबर अपराध समन्वय केंद्र (14C) के लिए राष्ट्रीय ब्रांड एंबेसडर नामित किया गया है।
- वह पिछले वर्ष एक डीपफेक वीडियो का शिकार हुई थीं, जिससे डीपफेक, साइबरबुलिंग और वित्तीय धोखाधड़ी सहित साइबर सुरक्षा के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए उनकी प्रतिबद्धता जगी।
Calibration of landing system at Noida International Airport completed
- Noida International Airport (NIA) has completed the calibration of its Instrument Landing System (ILS) and Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) from October 10 to October 14, 2024.
- The calibration was carried out by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in collaboration with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The Noida airport connects Delhi and western Uttar Pradesh.

- नोएडा इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट (NIA) ने 10 अक्टूबर से 14 अक्टूबर, 2024 तक अपने इंस्ट्रूमेंट लैंडिंग सिस्टम (ILS) और प्रिसिजन अप्रोच पाथ इंडिकेटर (PAPI) का कैलिब्रेशन पूरा कर लिया है।
- यह कैलिब्रेशन भारतीय विमानपत्तन प्राधिकरण (AAI) द्वारा नागरिक उड्डयन महानिदेशालय (DGCA) के सहयोग से किया गया। नोएडा एयरपोर्ट दिल्ली और पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश को जोड़ता है।
NITI Aayog hosts 2nd International Methanol Seminar
- NITI Aayog will host the 2nd International Methanol Seminar on 17-18 October 2024 in New Delhi, focusing on methanol as a low carbon fuel.
- The event will highlight the role of methanol in green energy and showcase innovations in transportation, power and shipping.
- India’s Methanol Economy Initiative was launched in 2016, by NITI Aayog in collaboration with the Methanol Institute, USA.
नीति आयोग ने दूसरे अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मेथनॉल सेमिनार की मेजबानी की
- नीति आयोग 17-18 अक्टूबर 2024 को नई दिल्ली में दूसरे अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मेथनॉल सेमिनार की मेज़बानी करेगा, जिसमें कम कार्बन ईंधन के रूप में मेथनॉल पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया जाएगा।
- इस कार्यक्रम में हरित ऊर्जा में मेथनॉल की भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला जाएगा और परिवहन, बिजली और शिपिंग में नवाचारों को प्रदर्शित किया जाएगा।
- भारत की मेथनॉल अर्थव्यवस्था पहल 2016 में शुरू हुई थी, जिसमें नीति आयोग ने मेथनॉल इंस्टीट्यूट, USA के साथ सहयोग किया था।
Akhil Sheoran won bronze medal in ISSF World Cup Final
- Akhil Sheoran defeated Paris Olympics gold medallist Liu Yukun to win the bronze medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3-positions event.
- Hungary’s Istvan Peni won the gold medal. This is India’s second medal at the ongoing year-end ISSF World Cup.
- India won the silver medal in the women’s 10m air rifle through Sonam Maskar.
- India’s Simranpreet Kaur, who also made it to the eight-shooter final, finished sixth.

Aakash Tripathi (IAS) has been given a key leadership role in digital governance
- Akash Tripathi has been given additional responsibility as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of Digital India Corporation (DIC).
- He is a 1998 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre and is currently serving as the CEO of MyGov.
- Tripathi has also been appointed as the President and Chief Executive Officer (P&CEO) of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD).
आकाश त्रिपाठी (IAS) को डिजिटल गवर्नेस में प्रमुख नेतृत्व की भूमिका मिली है
- आकाश त्रिपाठी को डिजिटल इंडिया कॉरपोरेशन (DIC) के प्रबंध निदेशक और मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (MD/CEO) के रूप में अतिरिक्त जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई है।

Kaziranga National Park has emerged as India’s second butterfly diversity centre
- 446 butterfly species have been recorded in Kaziranga National Park, making it the second largest park in India in terms of diversity after Namdapha National Park in Arunachal Pradesh.
- “Butterfly Conservation Meet-2024” was held on 27-29 September, attended by 40 enthusiasts and experts from all over India.
- 85 butterfly species were observed in the Kaziranga-Karbi Anglong landscape in this meet.
काजीरंगा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान भारत का दूसरा तितली विविधता केंद्र बनकर उभरा
- काजीरंगा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान में 446 तितली प्रजातियाँ दर्ज की गई हैं, जिससे यह अरुणाचल प्रदेश के नमदाफा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान के बाद विविधता के मामले में भारत का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा उद्यान बन गया है।
- “तितली संरक्षण मीट-2024” 27-29 सितंबर को आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें पूरे भारत से 40 उत्साही और विशेषज्ञ शामिल हुए।
- इस मीट में काजीरंगा-कार्बी आंगलोंग परिदृश्य में 85 तितली प्रजातियाँ देखी गईं।
China becomes India’s leading import source (April-September 2024)
- Imports from China reached US$56.29 billion, an increase of 11.5% from the previous year, making China India’s top import source.
- The US remains the top export destination for India, with exports worth US$ 40.38 billion during the same period.
- Other major import sources include Russia (US$32.18 billion) and the UAE (US$31.46 billion).

Supreme Court unveils new ‘Goddess of Justice’ statue
- The new ‘Goddess of Justice’ statue has had its blindfold removed and the sword replaced with the Constitution, focusing on equality under constitutional law.
- This change initiated by Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud reflects the judiciary’s commitment to equality under constitutional law.
- The statue was created last year, to be installed in April 2023, when the new Judges Library becomes operational.
उच्चतम न्यायालय ने नई ‘न्याय के देवी’ की प्रतिमा का अनावरण किया
- नई ‘न्याय की देवी’ की प्रतिमा की आँखों पर बंधी पट्टी हटा दी गई है और तलवार की जगह संविधान को स्थापित किया गया है, जो संवैधानिक कानून के तहत समानता पर केंद्रित है।
- भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश डी. वाई. चंद्रचूड़ द्वारा शुरू किया गया यह परिवर्तन संवैधानिक कानून के तहत समानता के लिए न्यायपालिका की प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है।
- प्रतिमा पिछले वर्ष बनाई गई थी, जिसे अप्रैल 2023 में स्थापित किया गया था, जब नई जज लाइब्रेरी चालू हो जाएगी।
HDFC Bank opens its first branch in Singapore
- HDFC Bank inaugurated its first branch in Singapore after receiving a wholesale banking licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
- The branch was inaugurated by Group Head of International Banking, Rakesh Singh.
- HDFC Bank’s international operations now comprise 5 branches – Hong Kong, Bahrain, Dubai and Singapore and an IFSC Banking Unit (IBU) at Gujarat International Finance Tec City.

- HDFC बैंक के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय परिचालन में अब 5 शाखाएँ – हांगकांग, बहरीन, दुबई और सिंगापुर और गुजरात इंटरनेशनल फाइनेंस टेक सिटी में एक IFSC बैंकिंग इकाई (IBU) शामिल हैं।
India signs $3.5 billion drone deal with the US
- India has finalised a $3.5 billion deal with the US to buy 31 MQ-9B drones (16 Sky Guardian and 15 Sea Guardian) to enhance its defence capabilities, especially focusing on China.
- The deal, under the Foreign Military Sales system, includes 15 drones for the Indian Navy and eight drones each for the Army and Air Force.
भारत ने अमेरिका के साथ 3.5 अरब डॉलर के ड्रोन सौदे पर हस्ताक्षर किए
- भारत ने अपनी रक्षा क्षमताओं को बढ़ाने के लिए, विशेष रूप से चीन पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हुए, 31 MQ-9B ड्रोन (16 स्काई गार्जियन और 15 सी गार्जियन) खरीदने के लिए अमेरिका के साथ 3.5 बिलियन डॉलर के समझौते को अंतिम रूप दिया है।
- विदेशी सैन्य बिक्री प्रणाली के अंतर्गत इस सौदे में भारतीय नौसेना के लिए 15 ड्रोन और सेना और वायु सेना के लिए आठ ड्रोन शामिल हैं।
