Nepal and France sign MoU for Hydro Nepal project
- Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), the French Embassy in Nepal and Blue Water Intelligence (BWI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the HydroNepal project.
- NEA MD Kul Man Ghising and BWI CEO Jeremy Fane signed the MoU in the presence of French Ambassador Virginie Courtval.
- The project aims to digitize Nepal’s river basins, optimize hydrological resources, and improve hydrological risk preparedness.

- नेपाल विद्युत प्राधिकरण (NEA), नेपाल में फ्रांसीसी दूतावास और ब्लू वाटर इंटेलिजेंस (BWI) ने हाइड्रोनेपाल परियोजना के लिए एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
- NEA के MD कुल मैन घीसिंग और BWI के CEO जेरेमी फेन ने फ्रांसीसी राजदूत वर्जिनी कॉर्टवल की मौजूदगी में समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
- इस परियोजना का उद्देश्य नेपाल की नदी घाटियों का डिजिटलीकरण करना, जलविद्युत संसाधनों का अनुकूलन करना और जल विज्ञान संबंधी जोखिम की तैयारी में सुधार करना है।
Coal India wins Golden Peacock CSR Award 2024
- Coal India Limited (CIL) was awarded the Golden Peacock CSR Award 2024 at the 19th International CSR Conference held in Mumbai.
- CIL Chairman P.M. Prasad and Director (Personnel) Vinay Ranjan received the award.
- CIL allocated ₹572 crore for CSR last fiscal with focus on healthcare, sanitation, education and livelihoods. Invested ₹850 crore in aspiring districts.

- कोल इंडिया लिमिटेड (CIL) को मुंबई में आयोजित 19वें अंतर्राष्ट्रीय CSR सम्मेलन में गोल्डन पीकॉक CSR अवार्ड 2024 से सम्मानित किया गया।
- CIL के चेयरमैन पी.एम. प्रसाद और निदेशक (कार्मिक) विनय रंजन ने पुरस्कार ग्रहण किया।
- CIL ने पिछले वित्त वर्ष में स्वास्थ्य सेवा, स्वच्छता, शिक्षा और आजीविका पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हुए CSR के लिए ₹572 करोड़ आवंटित किए। आकांक्षी जिलों में ₹850 करोड़ का निवेश किया।

- The Revenue Department has recommended her for central deputation. She will serve for five years or until further orders.

Udhayanidhi Stalin inaugurates bird park in Tiruchirappalli
- Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin inaugurated a bird park at Kambarasampettai, built at a cost of ₹18.63 crore under Namakku Naame Thittam.
- Spread over 4.02 acres, this bird park has birds classified as per Tamil Sangam scenarios and attractions like a 7D theatre and a Koi fish pond.
- This scheme promotes public participation in community infrastructure. Its work started in November 2023.

- तमिलनाडु के उपमुख्यमंत्री उदयनिधि स्टालिन ने कंबरसामपेट्टई में एक पक्षी पार्क का उद्घाटन किया, जिसे नमक्कु नामे थिट्टम के तहत ₹18.63 करोड़ की लागत से बनाया गया है।
- 4.02 एकड़ में फैले इस पक्षी उद्यान में तमिल संगम परिदृश्यों के अनुसार वर्गीकृत पक्षी और 7D थिएटर और कोइ मछली तालाब जैसे आकर्षण हैं।
- यह योजना सामुदायिक अवसंरचना में सार्वजनिक भागीदारी को बढ़ावा देती है। इसका कार्य नवंबर 2023 में शुरू हुआ था।

RBI introduces additional authentication for global payments
- RBI has introduced Additional Factor of Authentication (AFA) for international Card Not Present (CNP) transactions.
- AFA, which was previously for domestic payments, involves OTP or biometric verification to prevent fraud.
- The move addresses the growing e-commerce transactions and cyber risks, making cross-border digital payments secure.

- Submitted resignation to Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla in Imphal along with BJP leader Sambit Patra and state president A. Sarada Devi.
- Nongthombam Biren Singh was serving as the 12th Chief Minister of Manipur since 2017.
